Wrote textbook “Ultra-Realistic Imaging: Advanced Techniques in Analogue and Digital Colour Holography” (with Hans Bjelkhagen).

Graduated from Queen Mary’s College, London University studying Physics and Astrophysics. Ph.D. in Controlled Nuclear Fusion and Plasma Physics at Royal Holloway College, London University based at UKAEA Culham Labs, Oxford, UK. Subsequently completed a four year post-doctoral position at Flinders University of South Australia researching theoretical and numerical models for Nuclear Fusion.

Founded Australian Holographics Pty Ltd (Large Format Holographic Displays for the Australasian Market), General Optics Pty Ltd (Australian sales of Russian Optical and Laser Equipment), LMC France Instruments SARL (European Sales of Russian Optical and Laser Equipment) and then in 1995, the Geola group.

Main scientific activities are in the fields of Digital holography, Diffractive Optics, Laser Engineering, Silver Halide Photoemulsions and Fundamental Theoretical Physics.

Inventor of the PSM model of Diffraction, which provides an alternative formulism to Conventional Coupled-Wave Theories. Author/co-author of over 60 scientific publications and more than a dozen patent families.
